Crypto Payments: How It Works + Privacy Notes
Shieldeum accepts cryptocurrency payments for users who prefer extra privacy at checkout.
How Crypto Payments Work
During checkout, select the cryptocurrency payment option. You will be presented with a wallet address and the amount to send. Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, your subscription activates automatically.
We use a trusted payment processor to handle crypto transactions, so the process is straightforward even if you have not paid with crypto before.
Privacy Benefits
Paying with cryptocurrency means your payment is not directly tied to your bank account or credit card. This adds another layer of privacy to your Shieldeum subscription. Your account still needs an email address for login purposes, but the payment trail is separate from traditional financial systems.
Things to Know
- Crypto payments are one-time (no auto-renewal). You will need to manually renew when your subscription expires.
- Refunds for crypto payments may be processed differently than credit card refunds. Check our terms for details.
- Transaction times vary by blockchain. Bitcoin transactions typically confirm within 10 to 60 minutes.
