WireGuard Manual Setup (Using Config Generator)

Use the Shieldeum config generator to set up WireGuard manually on any device that supports it.

When to Use Manual Setup

Most users should use the Shieldeum app, which handles all configuration automatically. Manual setup is useful when:

  • You are using a device that does not support the Shieldeum app (certain routers, NAS devices, Linux distributions)
  • You prefer using the native WireGuard client
  • You need to configure a router-level VPN

Generate Your Config File

  1. Log in to your Shieldeum account at the client area
  2. Navigate to the configuration generator section
  3. Select "WireGuard" as the protocol
  4. Choose your desired server location
  5. Click "Generate" to download the .conf file

Import the Configuration

On Windows/macOS/Linux:

  1. Install the official WireGuard client from wireguard.com
  2. Open WireGuard and click "Import tunnel(s) from file"
  3. Select your downloaded .conf file
  4. Click "Activate" to connect

On mobile (iOS/Android):

  1. Install WireGuard from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Tap the + button and select "Create from file or archive"
  3. Import your .conf file
  4. Toggle the connection on
