OpenVPN Manual Setup (Using Config Generator)

Set up OpenVPN manually using Shieldeum configuration files for routers, NAS devices, or custom setups.

Generate Your Config File

  1. Log in to your Shieldeum account at the client area
  2. Open the configuration generator
  3. Select "OpenVPN" and choose UDP or TCP (UDP is faster; TCP is more reliable on unstable networks)
  4. Pick a server location and download the .ovpn file

Setup on Desktop

  1. Download and install the OpenVPN client for your OS (available at openvpn.net)
  2. Import the .ovpn file into the OpenVPN client
  3. Enter your Shieldeum credentials when prompted
  4. Click Connect

On Windows, you may need to run the OpenVPN client as administrator for the first connection.

Setup on Mobile

Install "OpenVPN Connect" from the App Store or Google Play. Import your .ovpn file and enter your credentials. Toggle the connection on from the app.
