Managing Devices (10 Connections): Sign Out and Reconnect
Shieldeum allows 10 simultaneous connections. Here is how to manage your devices if you hit the limit.
Understanding the 10-Device Limit
Your Shieldeum account supports up to 10 simultaneous VPN connections. This means you can protect your phone, laptop, tablet, TV, and other devices all at the same time without needing separate accounts.
If you set up Shieldeum on your router, it counts as only one connection regardless of how many devices connect through it.
Freeing Up Connection Slots
If you see a "maximum connections reached" message:
- Open Shieldeum on any device you are no longer using and disconnect, then log out
- If you cannot access that device, change your account password in the client area. This forces all devices to log out.
- Log back in on the devices you want to use
Tips
To avoid hitting the limit unexpectedly, disconnect from Shieldeum when you are done using a device, especially on shared or temporary machines. If you regularly use more than 10 devices, consider setting up a router-level connection to cover multiple devices under one slot.
