Why use a VPN on Linux?
Linux users often care deeply about security, privacy, and control over their system. A VPN extends that philosophy to your network traffic.
A VPN encrypts your traffic and helps keep your IP address private, especially important on public Wi-Fi, shared networks, and while traveling.
Shieldeum aims to make Linux VPN protection simple, starting with an Ubuntu GUI app that lets you connect in just a few clicks.
A VPN on Linux helps with:
- Safer public Wi-Fi
- Privacy on shared networks
- Remote work and travel protection
- Consistent connection control
