Why install a VPN on a router?
A router-level VPN routes traffic from every connected device through the VPN tunnel, without needing to install individual apps on each device.
It's ideal for devices that can't install VPN apps directly, like smart TVs, game consoles, streaming sticks, and IoT devices.
It can also simplify your privacy setup: one configuration covers your entire home network.
Best for:
- Smart TVs and streaming devices
- Game consoles
- Whole-home privacy on shared Wi-Fi
- Families and multi-device households
